This Lisbon Regional wine has a citrus yellow color, clear and bright 🌟. On the nose, it reveals an intense aroma of flowers 🌸 and dried stone fruit, such as peach 🍑 and apricot, characteristic of the Fernão Pires grape variety, which makes up 80% of the wine. These notes are balanced by mineral and citrus nuances 🍋 from the Arinto variety, which accounts for the remaining 20%. On the palate, the wine is fresh, with a long, enveloping finish 🍷. The recommended serving temperature is between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius 🌡️. The analytical data indicates an alcoholic strength of 12.5% vol., a pH of 3.19, a total acidity of 5.57 g/L of tartaric acid, a volatile acidity of 0.27 g/L of acetic acid, a non-reducing extract of 21.6 g/L and reducing sugars of less than 0.6 g/L. The wine is produced on clay-limestone soils from the Jurassic period 🦕, with sun exposure to the northwest 🌞. The vines, which are over 15 years old, are Fernão Pires and Arinto varieties, which produce high quality grapes for white wines 🍇. The harvest takes place in August, with grapes in an excellent state of health and ripeness. Harvesting is mechanical 🚜, followed by immediate transport to the winery in an inert atmosphere to preserve freshness and minimize oxidation. The process includes destemming, gentle pressing of the whole berries and static cold decanting ❄️, followed by fermentation at a low temperature (14°C). The wine undergoes a light ageing on fine lees to increase its structure, followed by fining and filtration to respect the integrity of the wine 🍾. Immediate consumption is suggested, but the wine can gain complexity if kept for 2 to 3 years 📅. Pairs well with grilled fish 🐟 and seafood 🦐.
